The U.S. Department of Labor maintains the most comprehensive and up-to-date databases of career information. CareerNoodle® uniquely combines several databases provided by the D.O.L. such as the O*NET® database, the Occupational Outlook Handbook, and salary information at both a national and state level.
Career Assessments
The My Interests and My Values assessments are based on the O*NET® Interest Profiler™ and Work Importance Profiler™, respectively. The Interest Profiler™ is compatible with Holland’s R-I-A-S-E-C Interest Structure and the Work Importance Profiler™ is based on over 30 years of research by leading vocational psychologists.

Videos
While most of the video content provided by CareerNoodle® is proprietary, CareerNoodle® also incorporates career videos that are provided by the One-Stop Career System Multimedia Career Video Library, which is maintained by the State of New Jersey Department of Labor.
The career videos were developed and distributed by the Center for Occupational Employment Information (COEI) under a grant from America's Labor Market Information System (ALMIS), a program of the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration (ETA). They are designed to provide a brief, visual introduction to the world of work for a career.
